Meet Coach Tyson — back for his second season with our Hoyas as Assistant Coach for the Boys 2/3 team!

A father of five, Tyson will be the first to tell you he doesn’t do anything small — and that shows up every day on the field through his enthusiasm, patience, and all-in approach to coaching. Expect big encouragement, big effort, and a whole lot of positive energy.

While he may be a newer face in lacrosse coaching, Tyson brings a deep understanding of teamwork and leadership. For him, the game is about more than sticks and goals — it’s about building confidence, learning resilience, and helping players discover what they’re capable of through hard work and consistency.

His coaching style is rooted in strong fundamentals, positive reinforcement, and creating a space where every player feels supported, challenged, and proud to give it their all — even when it’s tough.

Coach Tyson is passionate about helping these young athletes grow, build lasting habits, and maybe… just maybe… learn to love ground balls by the end of the season 😄
