Most of you know me for real estate, but what many don’t know is that I also own an AI technology company called VELZYX.

While I genuinely love real estate, AI and technology are where I spend most of my time building, innovating, and solving real-world business problems.

This past weekend, I had the opportunity to discuss the future of AI with mcuban . We talked about voice AI, where the industry is heading, and what we’re building at VELZYX. We both agreed that creating AI capable of truly replacing a human front desk isn’t easy. It takes sophisticated engineering, thousands of hours of development, and constant iteration—but it’s absolutely possible.

That’s exactly what we’re building.

Unlike many voice AI companies that focus only on overflow calls or after-hours support, VELZYX is designed to be the first point of contact for a business.

Today, we support 21 different industries, with more being added every day. Whether it’s answering calls, scheduling appointments, rescheduling, cancellations, qualifying leads, transferring calls, answering questions, or managing complex workflows—if a receptionist or front desk employee can do it, our AI is designed to handle it.

That’s the difference.

There are a lot of companies offering inexpensive voice AI. But as with most technology, you often get what you pay for. We didn’t build VELZYX to be another answering service—we built it to become a true digital staff member that businesses can rely on every single day.

This is only the beginning, and I’m incredibly excited for what’s ahead.
