Had to do it all on his own. 

If his teammates didn’t get injured, he was going to win another championship and have one of the greatest championship runs ever.

And by the end of that series, KD basically had to carry Brooklyn on his back. Kyrie Irving went down, James Harden was dealing with a hamstring injury, and Durant was still out there putting together some of the greatest playoff performances we’ve ever seen.

Game 5 was legendary. Game 7 was an all-time battle. KD was literally inches away from sending Brooklyn to the conference finals, and it’s hard not to wonder what happens if that Nets team stays healthy. 😭

With a healthy KD, Kyrie and Harden, Brooklyn had everything needed to win a championship. If injuries don’t destroy that run, KD could’ve added another ring and potentially put together one of the greatest championship runs of his career.

2021 KD was DIFFERENT. 🐐🔥

That Nets team will forever be one of basketball’s biggest “what ifs.”
