One of the wildest stories in Supersonic (2016) is Oasis' infamous first American tour, where everything came crashing down at the legendary Whisky a Go Go on Los Angeles' Sunset Strip.

After unknowingly taking crystal meth instead of cocaine, the band had been awake for days before taking to the stage. The chaos continued when the set lists were mixed up, leaving band members playing different songs at the same time. Tensions exploded, Liam hurled a tambourine at Noel during the performance, and the gig descended into complete disorder. It's remembered as one of the lowest points in Oasis' early career.

The fallout was immediate. Convinced the band was finished, Noel Gallagher walked away, taking a flight to San Francisco without telling anyone. For several days, nobody knew where he was, and Oasis looked to be over before they had truly begun.

While hiding away, Noel wrote "Talk Tonight," inspired by the kindness of a woman who took him in and gave him the space to think. Eventually, he realised he wasn't ready to give up. He returned to the band, and that decision changed everything.
