Portland will say goodbye to the Lloyd Center Mall this Saturday, August 8.

Multiple free community events are planned to celebrate the space. Per makingearthcool:

11am-3pm: Lloyderpalooza presented by united_snakes_press featuring local artists and makers in the food court 
11am-1pm: Extra Sketchcrawl (meet at the coin sculpture outside)
1pm: Lloyd Center Funeral Procession by Bike (meet at Holladay Park)
1pm: Playback Theatre - Lloyd Stories pdxbraidedriver
2pm-4pm: Magic Show at All American Magic Shop magicpdx 
2:30pm: Santa Con (all over the mall)
3:30pm-7pm: Lloyd Fest featuring music, poetry, comedy and karaoke
4pm: Mural Painting Party ilyouth2
5pm: Mall Tour with Kye Alive (meet at All American Ice Cream)
6:30pm: Hands Around Lloyd with Sarah Taylor
6:45pm: Jerry & Tally Leonard’s Final Skate

The mall will close to the public after August 8, and remaining tenants will have till August 31 to complete their operations at the mall. Businesses such as floatingworldcomics have found new brick-and-mortar locations in downtown Portland.
