A wildfire in western Attica continues to burn near the village of Krio Pigadi, with firefighters working to stop the flames from reaching the community.⁣

Two homes on the outskirts of the village have already been destroyed, while strong winds and poor visibility continue to hamper firefighting efforts.⁣

The operation has been overshadowed by the deaths of two firefighters in a helicopter collision on Sunday. Two others were injured and remain in hospital.⁣
