(My heart is full of pride) 🇨🇻

I just want to say how incredibly proud I am of this team, the women representing our nation with courage, strength, faith, and heart.

I’ve been awake and working since 5:00 a.m. on a Sunday, trying to capture every moment and share their story. But today, I had to pause. I had to sit back and truly take in what we just witnessed.

Watching Evy score was history. Watching Alivia score was history. Seeing Cabo Verde’s women compete at AFCON for the very first time and fight with so much bravery and belief was something truly special.

We have celebrated the men’s game and everything it has accomplished, but seeing the women of our nation carrying our flag on this stage hits differently. They are opening doors, creating memories, and showing every young Cape Verdean girl that her dreams are possible too.

The result will never tell the full story. 
The world saw the score but we saw the courage. 
We saw the sacrifice. 
We saw the beginning of something much bigger.

Continue moving forward with strength. 
Continue believing. Continue representing Cabo Verde with pride. Strength, Faith & courage always! 💪🏾🙏🏾🇨🇻
