I am the Mantis Queen — Part II

Earlier this week, Chun shared their words.
Today, I’m sharing where those words took me.
I wanted to interpret the story through my own visual language—not recreate what had already been made, but imagine what might exist on the other side of it.
The breaking.
The transformation.
The strange new life that follows survival.
And eventually, the realization:
“I survived the story.
I don’t have to live inside it.”

A cinematic 31-second surreal animation depicting a biomechanical Mantis Queen moving through transformation and release. Beginning in darkness among white flowers, fractures spread across her face before she emerges in increasingly powerful insectoid forms. Organic and mechanical imagery merge throughout—flowers, armor, mantis anatomy and small signs of new life—before the film opens into a luminous landscape, where she stands free beneath an expansive sky.
