Veniceball and Hoopbus rolled into OC to celebrate the Project Backboard’s newly renovated courts by artist 🎨katyanngilmore with a full day of basketball, art, music, community, and culture—all free and open to everyone.

artsinirvine cityofirvine gave away 300 free basketballs to community members who came out to participate in the activities - including a youth clinic, multi-generational game of Lightning, a dunk contest, 14u VBL Cup tournament and the main event, the VBL Cup. 

After a full day of clinics in the 90° heat, hundreds of hoopers showed up at Great Park and the youth really stood out. 

In the adult division, Westside War secured the Cup & takes the belt from the Mecca to secures their spot into the World Finals August 9th!
