I’m saving a full recap for May, but wanted to share a few video pieces from this past year that challenged me creatively and shaped how I approach video content.

1: Furman Beats Chattanooga — SoCon Semifinals
A fast turnaround after a massive win as the 5 seed. The goal was to preserve the chaos, emotion, and pressure of the final moments while delivering something timely. The response on socials reinforced how powerful authentic moments can be when speed and story align.

2. Brock & Audra’s Wedding
Filming this in July pushed me outside a sports-driven mindset and into a more personal, intentional form of storytelling. The result was a six-minute film I’m proud of — and more importantly, one that they loved!

3. Quick Turnaround After Samford
Shot handheld with an emphasis on feel over polish. This piece was a reminder that simple, well-executed content can often land stronger than longer-form projects heavy on VFX and SFX.

4. MBB vs Alabama
My favorite video from 2025. Fast-paced, high-energy, and built to match the intensity of the game. This challenged me to keep clarity and narrative while pushing tempo. Still room to grow — especially in sound design — but a step forward creatively.

5. Wim Tapley & The Cannons
Bringing Wim to campus for a philanthropic event was a special opportunity. This project allowed me to again challenge my sports-first creative process, while incorporating motion elements in After Effects. Huge thanks to @iam.juansoto for helping capture the night.

6. Men’s Soccer
A strong postseason run meant more access and more need. Working in athletics has been tough at times, but it has allowed me to tell stories across multiple programs which is truly special. This is very different compared to my previous role for MBB, but this variety is easily one of my favorite parts.

7. Intro to Timmons
This piece never made it out — intentionally. As one of the first creative pieces for the renovated Timmons Arena, it didn’t meet the standard I wanted or fully capture the anticipation of the space. A reminder that every piece isn’t perfect!
