This past weekend, I tried something new while taking photos, and it ended up being my favorite game I’ve shot in a long time. I am so happy with the way these images turned out. 

For almost the entire game, I laid my 400mm lens on the ground and shot through the viewfinder for really low angle images. I used my monopod to help guide where I wanted to point the camera. During the shootout, I did the same thing with my 50-150mm minus the monopod.

As a photographer, when you shoot the same thing week in and week out, you have to find ways to mix it up and get creative or else everything starts to look the same, and you can end up falling into a rut, disliking the photos you take, getting bored, etc. Experimenting is scary, but so is staying the same.
