A Black father says he and his sons were the only Black family at their neighborhood pool when a woman demanded proof that they belonged there. Even after he showed evidence that he lived in the community, she reportedly insisted on seeing his ID and called police when he refused.

Officers ultimately told the woman he did not have to show her anything, but the father says the encounter left one of his sons crying and the family traumatized. He is now considering legal action.
