Zion Park’s Maricopa Community College journey started in 2013. Fast forward 13 years — not only is she graduating, she was also one of Chandler-Gilbert Community College’s 2026 commencement student speakers and is on her way to earning her bachelor’s degree at Paradise Valley Community College.

Her story is proof that there’s no perfect time to pursue your goals and it’s never too late to start (or start again).

“There were always many reasons to pause my goals, so I took a lot of breaks. But somewhere along the way, I realized something important. There will always be obstacles. The perfect timing I was waiting for may never come. So I came back. I came back to learn. I came back to prove something to myself. I came back because I wanted more for my future and for my children,” - Zion Park, during her commencement speech.
