  My latest obsession is this completed dark academia duology, and I’m currently on book two and completely invested in Ophelia and Alex 🔥🫠 The mystery, the academic atmosphere, the banter, the tension, ugh, I measure my taste for a book for the feels and the quotes and this one checked the boxes and exceeded my expectations ♥️

Ophelia is falling for the one person she believes she should hate: Alex, the son of the man she believes killed her parents. But the closer she gets to him, the more she realizes that Alex is nothing like his father, and everything she thought she knew starts becoming a lot more complicated.

And Alex… yeah, he’s rapidly climbing my book-boyfriend list. 😂 don’t get me started ok, I can talk about him all day. I especially love how much of his character revolves around protecting the women in his life: his mom, his sisters, and now Ophelia.

Their chemistry, banter, and slow burn of all those complicated feelings are SO good. If you’re craving a break from dark romance or romantasy but still want mystery, tension, emotional depth, romance, and a protective MMC to obsess over, definitely give this duology a try 🤍
