Everybody says they want competition.

That sounds great right up until the terms of competition stop That unbelievably cheap foreign EV comes with a massive hidden cost.

John Bozzella says when we look at the pricing of these vehicles, we are actually seeing the result of immense government subsidies and an over-capacitized industry. 

American automakers are essentially going up against the financial backing of the Chinese government rather than independent businesses. 

Allowing artificially priced, state-sponsored vehicles into the domestic market threatens to completely undermine the existing retail ecosystem. 

Fair competition drives innovation and benefits the consumer, but government-backed market flooding actively destroys local industries.
