What if your advertising is the thing that gets you audited?

The FTC just sent warning letters to 97 dealership groups, reminding them that advertised prices must include all required fees, except government charges like taxes. Translation: if the deal only works after hidden add-ons, fine print, payment games, or unavailable inventory, the FTC is paying attention.

The six problem areas are familiar: fake discounts, required down payments, tied financing, forced products, missing fees, and cars that are not actually available.

For most dealers, this is validation. For everyone else, it is a reminder that clean advertising is not optional anymore. Ever.
