How big does an EV pivot have to be before it becomes an EV reversal?

Honda just wrote down $15.7 billion tied to its electric vehicle plans, canceled three U.S. EV models, and warned it will report its first annual loss since becoming a public company.

The reason?

A mix of collapsing U.S. EV demand after subsidies disappeared and an uncomfortable reality check in China.

Honda admitted newer Chinese EV makers are moving faster, especially in software and development cycles.

So the strategy is shifting. 
Hybrids up. EV timelines reconsidered.
