@carmax just became the first auto retailer to launch a shopping app inside ChatGPT.

AI assistants on dealer sites are common. This is different. Now shoppers can access CarMax inventory, pricing, and even vehicle values without ever visiting CarMax's website.

When someone types “small AWD car with good tech under 25k” and gets live inventory back, suddenly their shopping experience becomes much more intuitive.

It’s relocating the showroom to where consumer attention already lives.

So here’s the bigger question:
If traffic starts inside AI, what happens to your homepage?
