AI doesn’t run a dealership. People do.
Felipe Arias said something that reframes the entire AI conversation.

Data creates the foundation.
Software builds the workflow.
But a human still decides what to do next.

Right now, the industry is racing to layer AI into everything. Smarter tools. Faster processes. More automation. That progress matters.

But tools don’t set direction.

Two dealers can operate on the same data ecosystem. They can use the same software and see the same dashboards. They will still make very different decisions about acquisition, pricing, and merchandising.

The difference is judgment.

AI can surface patterns and highlight opportunity. It cannot determine who you want to be in your market or how you respond when conditions shift.

That’s still human work.

If this is truly the year of the human, then this is the standard: technology should sharpen instinct, not replace it.

Infrastructure matters.
