As students head back to school, it's an opportunity to build the foundation for lifelong well-being. This month, we're featuring Caring for Denver grantees that are promoting mental health, preventing substance misuse, and creating safe, supportive environments where children and youth can succeed.

Grantee Spotlight: Raise the Future

Raise the Future supports youth who have experienced foster care and the caregiving adults in their lives by strengthening the relationships that help young people feel safe, supported, and connected. Through trauma-informed training, coaching, and family support services, the organization equips caregivers and professionals with practical tools to help children and youth build resilience and thrive.

With support from Caring for Denver, Raise the Future is expanding access to Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®) for Denver families involved in, or at risk of entering the child welfare system and for professionals working alongside them. TBRI® was developed by the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development at TCU, and Raise the Future is a TBRI® Ambassador Organization. Through caregiver training, personalized in-home coaching, resource coordination, and professional consultation, families receive ongoing support to strengthen relationships, improve emotional regulation, and address the lasting impacts of trauma.

By combining trauma-informed, attachment-based practices with individualized support, Raise the Future helps create stable, connected environments where children, youth, and caregivers can heal and grow together.
