Amazon Autos just added a very specific kind of dealer. EV Auto is now the first used EV dealership to join the platform - that’s a bigger story than another dealer listing inventory online. EV Auto isn’t trying to be everything to everyone. They’ve built around a narrow point of view: used electric vehicles, EV service, EV warranties, charging, acquisition, and the broader ownership experience. Now that inventory is showing up in a place where millions of customers already start their buying behavior. CEO @evautoalex doesn’t seem to view this as replacing the dealership relationship. He’s thinking about it as another entry point. The future of automotive retail may have less to do with forcing customers into one perfect channel, and more to do with being coherent everywhere they already are.
