Congratulations Jordy 🫡🫶💜

A massive congratulations to Jordy on being awarded a scholarship to the Australian Institute of Sports Centre of Excellence. 

The COE is the highest level of basketball pathways for elite athletes in Australia. 

Jordan is the 2nd player from our academy program to achieve this honour, and without question has been one of the most impactful players in building our Hornets team program. 

I am incredibly proud of you mate , after all these years of hard work and dedication to the game you love.  I am so happy for you, and for your amazing mum and dad, who have been such a big part of everything we have done over the last 5 years. 

Well done Tate and Colleen for all your hard work , commitment and effort to help your son fulfil so much promise and talent 💜 

When you first told me you had been given this scholarship (and that i had to keep it a secret 😂 🤐) I cannot express how excited and happy i was for you mate. After all these years coaching and mentoring you , and watching so many people count you out , saying that you were undersized blah blah. You have proved them all wrong , and more importantly shown yourself what is possible. 

To see the player that you have become, and more importantly the fantastic young man that you have become,  is truly a privilege to witness and play a part in. No matter what the situation, set back or challenge you had to face, i always said to you “keep being you Jordy, because that will always be enough”. 🫡💜 I don’t want to say i told you so , buttttt 😂 🤷🏻‍♂️

You helped us build our Hornets program to what it is today , and helped our u16 program dominate the competition for 3 years in a row. We wouldn’t be who we are today as a club without all of the work and leadership you put in with the rest of the squad.

I cannot wait to see you shine in your next chapter. 

As always, i am here whenever you need me, and look forward to coming to watch you play at college in the USA 🇺🇸 when your next step happens.
