Whether Keanu Reeves will return as Neo remains a mystery, but it can't be a Matrix movie without Neo.⁠

When recently asked if Reeves and members of the original cast would be back, Goddard responded: "I can’t speak to that."⁠

While reports suggest we shouldn't expect The Matrix 5 before 2027, Warner Bros. has yet to announce an official release date or confirm which cast members will return.⁠
