As a man, you need certain competencies if you want to be the leader, protector, and head of your household.

Despite what the woke world tells you, when shit gets real, a lot of the responsibility is going to fall on your lap.

You need to know how to make a fire.

You need to know how to change a tire.

You need to know how to use tools.

You need to know how to fight.

You need to know how to protect your children and the people you love when danger shows up.

And if you didn't grow up learning these things, then it's your responsibility to figure them out now.

You don't get to use your upbringing as an excuse for remaining incompetent.

We've built such sanitized lives that it's easy to believe someone else will always be there to solve the problem.

Call a mechanic.
Call the police.
Call a professional.
Google it.
Pay someone.

Until the day you can't.

When something actually goes wrong, there may not be time to wait for someone more capable to show up.

That's when competence matters.

So get off the screen sometimes.

Learn practical skills. Learn how your tools work. Learn basic first aid. Learn how to handle yourself under pressure. Learn how to protect the people who depend on you.

Because your unwillingness to learn, get uncomfortable, and become capable doesn't just affect you.

When real shit happens, your incompetence could cost someone their life.
