The saxophones are getting louder and people are paying the price 😢🥺

Wildfires destroy entire communities, first responders work around the clock with strained resources, and hospitals face historic climate impacts. We are seeing catastrophic records being broken around the world 🌍💔

But not everyone is struggling. The super-rich and world’s biggest corporate polluters continue to dodge HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS in taxes, because the system allows them to do so.

The world needs a solution desperately ⚠️

Governments are gathering in New York for the next round of negotiations for a Global Tax Treaty this week. This gives us a once-in-a-generation opportunity to reclaim trillions from the wealthiest polluters to protect people from extreme weather, the rising cost of food, energy and daily life 📈

As the cost of these extreme weather events is getting higher, it's never been more relevant to create a strong treaty.

We don't lack money to stop the climate crisis. We lack political will to take it back from the companies and super-rich people destroying the planet.

Make the wealthiest polluters pay for the damage they've caused. Make their destruction unprofitable. Fund our future with a strong Global Tax Treaty 💰✍🏽
