20 years ago, if you’d told me this photo would be the start of a journey that would completely change my life… I wouldn’t have believed you.

Back then, I never imagined I’d fall in love with fitness.

I never imagined I’d feel stronger, healthier, happier… or that at 40 I’d genuinely feel and look better than I did in my 20s.

The funny thing is, when I was younger, I hardly had any photos. Not because cameras didn’t exist, but because I wasn’t that confident in myself. There was no social media, so there wasn’t the same pressure to compare yourself every day.

Now it’s different.

Social media can inspire us, but it can also make us question ourselves, compare our bodies, and forget just how far we’ve come.

Looking back at this photo, I’m not grateful because of how I looked.

I’m grateful because that younger version of me made one decision that changed everything…

She walked into a gym.

She had no idea where that decision would lead.

She had no idea it would improve her confidence, strengthen her mind, teach her discipline, and completely transform her life.

Twenty years later, I feel younger.
I feel stronger.
I feel healthier.
And the best part?

I built it.

So thank you to my younger self for taking that first step, even without knowing where it would lead.
