Alabama State received three years of probation and a $30,000 fine, plus one percent of its football program budget. ASU won’t appeal, but school officials strongly dispute how the case was classified — pointing out that Arizona, which certified Croskey-Merritt to play in 2024, got only a Level III violation and a $500 fine.⁠

Croskey-Merritt is now a running back for the commanders after going seventh round in the 2025 NFL Draft.⁠
