Have you ever stood next to a glacier and felt completely speechless?

📍Svínafellsjökull Glacier, Iceland 🇮🇸 

This was one of those moments in Iceland where we just stopped and took it all in.
What surprised us the most was that this glacier wasn’t just sitting high up in the mountains, it stretched all the way down into the valley. From the ground, it already looked massive, but seeing it from the drone showed us just how enormous it truly is.

Iceland has more than 200 glaciers, covering around 10% of the country. These glaciers are like giant rivers of ice, slowly moving and shaping the landscapes around them over hundreds and thousands of years.

Standing beside something that has been here for centuries was an experience we’ll never forget.❤️
