Song Wars is being turned into a real-world music competition show, IRL Song Wars, by the company that co-produced the Hyperpop Daily Basketball Tournament.

Song Wars was originally popularized in the early 2020s by PlaqueBoyMax as a virtual competition where underground artists submitted unreleased tracks to be played live on stream and judged by notable influencers. The format quickly went viral, helping break some of the most notable underground artists including Che, Xaviersobased, Lazer Dim 700, and 2slimey.

IRL Song Wars adapts that high-energy formula into a structured talent showcase similar to American Idol and America’s Got Talent, featuring 10 upcoming artists competing in front of a panel of 6 judges.

IRL Song Wars is currently released on YouTube with all songs available on streaming.
