Shera, real name Amanpreet Singh, made the pitch in a video posted to his social media accounts, a month after knocking out Jake Hager in the third round at Power Slap 21 in Las Vegas on July 10, a finish that went viral and drew widespread coverage. Hager had dropped Shera to a knee in the opening round before Shera rallied. It was Hager’s first loss in the promotion.

“Thank you for all the love and support all over social media. Millions, millions of views,” Shera said. “I really want to say thank you to Power Slap for giving me the opportunity, who believed in me and put me against Jake Hager. Thank you so much for believing in me.”

Shera also addressed Hager directly, thanking him and apologizing for the knockout while noting it is part of the sport.

“I’m still out there, still hungry, still starving for opportunities, and I’m still interested in doing wrestling,” he said. “If there is anyone who wants to book me, you can DM me or text me on Instagram or Twitter. My goal has always been — I want to be part of WWE. So if anyone can support me or help me to get where I belong, I would really appreciate it.”

Shera, billed as The Indian Lion, spent time in WWE developmental in 2018. He last wrestled for TNA in 2024, won the OVW Championship in 2022, and first gained notice in TNA’s Ring Ka King project in India in 2011.
