Missy Hyatt is undergoing surgery Friday for injuries from her June car accident, and marked the day on X with humor.

“Today is surgery day for my car accident,” Hyatt wrote. “Tell davemeltzerWON to put my obituary bio on ice and keep writing Dory Funk Jr.’s bio. The world class wrestling curse is not getting me today.”

Hyatt, who debuted in World Class Championship Wrestling in 1985, revealed in late June that she had been in a bad car accident on June 2 and would need surgery. She said at the time that the accident was not her fault, that she does not drink, and that she had nobody to take care of her afterward.

Her post on Friday also revealed that she has filmed a Dark Side of the Ring appearance: “My DarkSideOfRing is already in the can and they have no time to reedit it.”

She added that she finally received a wrestling figure from the Major Wrestling Figure Podcast’s line and “must live to see another figure in my lifetime,” and closed: “I want no memorial shows if anything happens. But a MDK (missy-death-kill) tournament of death would be cool.”

Hyatt managed across World Class, the UWF, where she signed the first guaranteed contract for a woman in the promotion, the WWF, WCW and ECW.
