On becoming champion: "You guys know I yap all the time. I could yap to a wall. I was speechless, absolutely speechless. And the funny thing is, I thought that it would be a blur, but I saw every single face in that crowd."

On being congratulated backstage: "When Triple H hugged me, I was like, this is 13 years in the making. And how many times did you guys fire me?"

On the day itself: "Nothing good can happen to me without something really awful happening. Today I woke up, and all my girlfriends were supposed to come for this moment with me, and the Canadian airlines went on strike. So they are all stuck watching me on TV instead of live. This is just par for the course. But the fact that my mom, my dad, my husband, my sister were there, it makes up for it."

On the field she beat: "We've got an ex-WNBA player, we've got an ex-gymnast, we've got Jade who was born with abs, and we've got Charlotte who was literally born into this business. And what am I? And then, do you know what I am? ... and now here I am."

Green dedicated her title win to Michael Hayes: "I am going to dedicate this title to Michael Hayes."
