Leatherman was Minnesota's 2024 Mr. Baseball and Perfect Game's No. 76 national RHP before entering the transfer portal from North Carolina with 3 years of eligibility remaining. ⁠

In a January bullpen at Tread HQ, he sat 90.0 mph (T91.4) with a three-pitch fastball/slider/changeup mix. Since then, he's added a cutter to give himself a four-pitch arsenal heading into his Redshirt Sophomore year. 📈⁠
