Watch out DC sports, there’s a new host in town 👀👀🎤🎤🎤

Introducing: YOUR OFFICIAL MATCH DAY HOST FOR THE @nwsl @washingtonspirit !!! ⚽️⚽️🖤⭐️ 

This season, the Washington Spirit aren’t just here to play, we are here to win and to write a new set of rules for women’s sports in the District, and beyond, playing all 14 home matches at Audi Field. 

But wait, there’s more… our pregame ceremonies will feature an all-female lineup… THIS is DC sports history in the making!! ⭐️

After 5+seasons across the PAC-12, Big Ten and Big East, for women’s programs specifically, I could not be more grateful to continue my commitment to advancing the visibility and representation of women with the Washington Spirit, under the new ownership of Michele Kang. 

This all-female lineup for pregame ceremonies is reminiscent of @ucberkeleyofficial’s 2018 all-female lineup for the Berkeley 150 campaign, under the first female Chancellor…. to be entrusted with and part of historic moments such as these reminds me why we work feverishly and fight diligently.  From the right to higher education, to the right to vote, to the right to play and be recognized as world-class athletes. 

Home opener is this Sunday at 4pm ET against the OL Reign, and it’s sure to be 🔥 as @USWNT  legends Trinity Rodman and Megan Rapinoe go head-to-head. (And yes, I have both their t-shirts).
