Top 15 ranked UFC lightweight contender Quillan Salkilld has the opportunity to make a statement in the division this weekend as he takes on Mateusz Gamrot in the main event of UFC Fight Night at the Meta Apex in Las Vegas. Salkilld admits his recent internet lore from his fans has gone a bit too far and jokes about potentially shutting down a couple of the viral memes. As far as his opponent, he expects Mateusz Gamrot to push the pace but ultimately he sees himself being able to put him away by the middle of the fight. Finally he admits he's not sure if UFC lightweight champion Justin Gaethje will be around by the time he gets to a title shot but admits he would love to throw down with him before he calls it a career.
