I recently spent a few hours at Odyssey HQ with Seamus Sweeney looking at my putting. We’ve worked together for over 20 years, so he knows my stroke inside out.

One thing I’ve always done on Tour is test one variable at a time. It’s easy to think something feels better, but unless you measure it, you don’t really know.

Using Quintic, we found my attack angle was a touch too high and my strike, while centered, was slightly high on the face. Nothing major, but all measurable.

A couple of small setup changes later, we tested again and the numbers confirmed what I was feeling - a much more consistent strike.

That’s the process: measure the baseline, change one variable, test again, then decide what actually works.

Whether it’s putting, your swing or your practice, that’s how real progress is made.
