Ho disegnato questo panorama di Shanghai in treno da Shanghai a Pechino guardando una foto ed usando un briciolo di memoria.
Il treno era ad alta velocità. Il mio disegno ad alta inesattezza. Palazzi inventati ed altri modificati. Questa è la mia Shanghai e come ogni cosa che fai e che qualcuno apprezza quella cosa diventa più importante anche per te. Da oggi una copia di #xplanecitysketch_shanghai_004 è incorniciata ed appesa su un muro da qualche parte in Cina.

I drew this panorama of Shanghai on the high-speed train from Shanghai to Beijing, using a photograph and a little bit of memory.

The train was high-speed. My drawing is high in inaccuracies.

Some buildings are invented, others have been changed. This is my Shanghai

And that’s the curious thing about making something: when someone else appreciates it, it somehow becomes more important to you as well.

As of today, a copy of #xplanecitysketch_shanghai_004 is framed and hanging on a wall somewhere in China.
