## Caption

5 reasons the S650 Mustang GT deserves more respect than the internet gives it:

1. The 5.0 Coyote is making 480hp naturally aspirated in 2024. No turbos, no hybrid assist, just a flat-plane-adjacent V8 screaming to 7,500 rpm while every competitor downsizes. This is not a participation trophy motor.

2. Ford finally gave it a chassis that doesn't embarrass itself. Independent rear suspension that actually works, real rigidity improvements, and steering feel that makes you wonder if someone at Ford got tired of reading the same Car and Driver complaints for 20 years.

3. It's the last of a dying formula — big naturally aspirated V8, rear-wheel drive, manual transmission, under $50K. The Camaro is dead. The Challenger is now electric. Do the math on what happens to S650 values when Ford inevitably follows.

4. The aftermarket is already deep. Coyote support is mature — supercharger kits, exhaust, intake, tune — and three-piece wheel fitment on the S650 platform is *chef's kiss*. This thing sits right with the correct specs.

5. Budget your suspension and wheels from day one, not after you've already blown everything on a catback and a tune you can't feel below 5,000 rpm. We've all done the "I'll get wheels next month" thing and next month turns into 14 months and three impulse purchases later you're running stock wheels on coilovers. Don't be that build.

The S650 is Ford's last stand for the analog muscle car. Treat it accordingly.
