After 12 years under Mill Ave, Low Key is playing its last song this weekend.

The all request dueling piano bar in the basement at Mill and Fifth announced Wednesday that it’s closing permanently. It opened in 2014 in the space that used to be Beeloe’s, then The Big Bang, then RCK CTY, and it spent over a decade turning rooms full of strangers into one very loud singalong.

The announcement said it’s time for them to play their final song. They thanked everyone who ever requested a tune, tipped the entertainers, or just walked down that staircase.

No reason was given for the closure.

If you were ever there on a Saturday night you know exactly what the room sounded like. Craig Robinson from The Office once sat down at those pianos and played the show’s theme song for the crowd.
