Arizona didn’t host a single FIFA World Cup match this summer, but this October the Valley gets one of the biggest rivalries in international soccer.

The U.S. Men’s National Team will host Mexico on Saturday, October 3 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale. It’s one of four friendlies U.S. Soccer scheduled following the World Cup, with all four taking place in American cities that did not host tournament matches this summer.

This will also be the USMNT’s first home match since its run to the Round of 16 at the World Cup. Head coach Mauricio Pochettino recently signed a contract extension through 2030 and will lead the team into the October showdown.

If you’ve ever been to a Mexico match in Glendale, you already know the atmosphere. El Tri has consistently packed State Farm Stadium with crowds of more than 57,000, and the stadium is often filled with fans wearing green. On paper it’s a U.S. home match, but don’t be surprised if it feels like one for Mexico.

Presale signups are now open through State Farm Stadium.
