We are #ECUHealthProud of Traquavis Harris, program coordinator in pastoral care programs at ECU Health Medical Center, for receiving the North Carolina Governor’s Volunteer Service Award.

“I was a VolunTEEN in 2017 and did patient escorts, central transport, cancer center registration and work in the emergency department,” he said. “This was a chance to circle back to where I once was and give back to my community.”

Taquavis was recognized alongside fellow honorees Angelina Brittle, Charmaine Reeder and Angelina Brittle whose service also reflects a shared commitment to strengthening our communities.
