🌟 RUSHMER PREPARES FOR NEXT CHALLENGE AFTER BREAKOUT FRESHMAN SEASON‼️🥍

Wyoming Seminary freshman attackman TJ Rushmer caught up with NEPA Lacrosse after being named the 2026 NEPA Lacrosse Boys Rookie of the Year.

Rushmer made an immediate statement during his first varsity season, leading the Blue Knights with 71 goals and 31 assists for 102 points in only 17 games.

On the @palaxnews statewide leaderboards, he ranked as the No. 1 freshman in Pennsylvania in both goals and points, while also finishing No. 18 overall in goals and No. 27 overall in points.

Rushmer credited his Wyoming Seminary coaches and teammates for helping him settle into the varsity level and allowing him to play naturally within the offense. He said the experience reinforced that individual success comes from playing together and helping the entire team accomplish its goals.

He helped Wyoming Seminary advance to the District 2 semifinals and earned WVC Coaches’ First Team All-Conference honors. Rushmer was also selected to the 22-player NEPA Lacrosse Boys All-District Team and the Rising Stars Team.

Rushmer continued testing himself throughout the summer with Philadelphia Futures Lacrosse Club, The NILLY and the Nike National All-Star Games, where he represented Team Philly against regional teams from across the country. He will also compete at The Show this fall.

Those opportunities challenged Rushmer to become more versatile. After playing both attack and midfield during the summer, he said his focus was simply contributing wherever his team needed him.

Rushmer will attend The Lawrenceville School for the 2026-27 academic year, continuing his education while entering one of the country’s most competitive prep lacrosse environments.

He said the opportunity stood out because Lawrenceville will challenge him at a high level both academically and athletically while also helping prepare him for the college recruiting process.

As coaches begin evaluating the 2029 class, Rushmer wants them to see a hardworking and selfless player who is willing to compete anywhere on the field.
