Grateful to have attended another inspiring Vaisakhi reception at 10 Downing Street on the kind invitation of the Prime Minister’s Office.

I’ve had the privilege of attending a few times over the years under different Prime Ministers, and each time I come away feeling proud of the strength, warmth and achievements of the Sikh community in the UK. It was a pleasure to see Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer there, alongside all 11 Sikh MPs and a Sikh member of the House of Lords.

One of the most special parts of the evening was the beautiful Kirtan performed by the children from Khalsa Jatha, Shepherd’s Bush Gurdwara. It was also a real pleasure to spend time networking, catching up with friends and familiar faces, and of course talking all things football and the forthcoming Asian Football Awards.

Grateful to have been selected to attend and to witness another uplifting evening among so many inspirational Sikhs in the UK.
