For years, I spent almost every weekend blacking out. I thought it was funny, the normal thing to do, until I realized it wasn’t. 

I used alcohol, strict dieting, excessive cardio, or whatever other fad I was into that week as a way to distract myself from life, stress, emotions … 

I thought I was controlling everything I could control, but it spiraled into being the opposite. 

- Always saying & doing things I regretted while drunk
- Creating a bad relationship with food 
- Not liking my body or myself overall 

Until one day I woke up & I was tired of feeling like sh*t

Tired of feeling physically & mentally drained 

Tired of not remembering a lot of things that I’ve experienced because of alcohol 

Tired of being stuck in this cycle that looked like I was working on myself but actually was self destructing 

I had to look myself in the mirror 

Call myself out on every toxic habit I have

& continue to put in the work day by day to become better 

To heal my relationship with food 
To find healthy outlets for my stress & emotions
To learn how to love myself 
To create boundaries around alcohol 

To this day I still have toxic traits, still avoid certain emotions or situations, still wake up made at myself

But the difference is I’m working on it. 

Growth comes from YOU. No one else.
