A couple years ago I had the privilege of photographing Diego, an adopted rescue wolf from New Mexico in a Malibu Canyon just a few days before he died. Diego was so old that there was only one split second where he was able to stand when I photographed him. The photo was published in the Malibu Times after he passed. The canyon that Diego used to live in was severely impacted by the fire this week, and the house he used to live in is gone, but thankfully the owners are ok.
