The Seattle Seahawks enter as the defending champions, but the Los Angeles Rams produced the division’s biggest offseason. They added Myles Garrett, secured Matthew Stafford for another two years and may eventually reunite Garrett with Aaron Donald. The panel explains why that potential combination could dictate every protection an opposing offense calls—and why a loaded roster still has to become a cohesive team.

The Rams also face significant questions. Chris Shula will be expected to maximize a defense filled with elite talent, the organization must find room under the salary cap and Puka Nacua’s future contract situation remains unresolved.

Seattle may not have made the same splash, but the panel still considers the Seahawks the team to beat. John Schneider has built a young, fast and physical roster through the draft, giving Seattle a foundation designed for sustainable success rather than a single championship run.

The San Francisco 49ers remain the division’s third legitimate contender. Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch retain the panel’s trust, Brock Purdy continues to win and Mike Evans gives the offense an experienced route runner and respected veteran presence. The concerns are age, recurring injuries and the continued instability surrounding Brandon Aiyuk.

The conversation closes with the Arizona Cardinals, their lack of organizational identity and the role ownership has played in preventing talented players from reaching their potential.
