Built as a one-off engineering and design showcase, this 1982 BMW 635CSi "The Observer Coupé" was conceived as the world's first fully retractable glass-roofed grand tourer.

Developed by MGA Developments Ltd. and unveiled at the 1982 British International Motor Show, it remains the sole survivor of this ambitious project.

Showing just 19,315 miles and accompanied by an extensive history file, this extraordinary coach-built prototype offers a rare glimpse into a vision of the future that arrived decades ahead of its time.
