More depth to the handle CAN allow for a more outward force on the handle in transition 👉

If you are someone who fights PULLING DOWN 👇 on the handle, resulting in the handle lowering faster than your body can rotate, you MIGHT benefit from more depth to your hand path ✅

Creating more outward force can be beneficial for some, but not others. Typically, a more outward force will send the hand path out but send the clubhead further back behind the hands and shallow the club. It’s often times the exact medicine someone that gets “steep and deep” on the downswing needs!

However! Like everything in golf, too much of anything can be harmful. Especially if you pull your arm structure behind you excessively in an effort to reach for more depth

Also - If you throw those hands up like JT and flush it, and you don’t need depth, keep doing you 👊 (looking at you Ryan Fox)

(Yes this is all 2D - no I don’t know the intent (or coach) either of these players - no the camera angles aren’t perfect - just a basic illustration of a concept that can be helpful)
