A girl from Corpus Christi with big dreams. I didn’t have it all figured out, but I knew staying in the city wasn’t an option. As a first-generation college student, I chose faith over fear.

In just 9 days, I’ll be graduating from Thee Illustrious Prairie View A&M University with my Bachelor of Social Work and minors in Criminal Justice and Health.

I cried. I prayed. Through faith and perseverance, I prevailed. I turned prayers into proof.
