Three days after the Super Bowl, I was back in the gym and thought I might pass out. My trainer thought I was joking. 

I wasn’t chasing a fitness goal—I was chasing discipline. Just showing up for myself.

Now it’s football season, and I’m still showing up. Bonus: got to share the weight room with my son before he headed to camp. 

Oh, yea. I was let go days before this, but one thing ain’t got nothing to do with the other.
